Job description

Position Overview: We are seeking an RFP Marketing Coordinator to join our growing Sales team. The RFP Coordinator serves as primary coordinator of all firm-wide responses to stop loss requests for proposals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the response process including the tracking of RFP notices, deadlines, status, and the outcome of RFPs. Systematically track deadlines and upcoming RFP opportunities.
  • Coordinate and manage the stop loss proposal process to include initial intake, deadlines, status, negotiations and proposal deliver to Sales VP. Systematically track deadlines and upcoming RFP opportunities.
  • Work with both new sales and renewal stop loss proposals.
  • Health Benefit actuarial experience preferred
  • Evaluate the request for proposal with the relevant Sales Team Member (s), Account Manager (s) or designated partners. Ensure that incomplete information has been requested and evaluate the firm’s chance of success versus the resources necessary to prepare a response. Develop and implement bid/no-bid checklist.
  • Working with the senior manager to adopt an effective change management approach to the RFP process, sales department processes and training procedures.
  • Work with the Vice President of Sales and Vice president of Account Management to assist in maintaining stop loss vendor relationships.
  • Work closely with other departments and marketing staff to assemble a database of information about the stop loss vendors; billing rates; fee arrangements; and catalog of firm information and forms.
  • Assistance with sales presentations, social media and events as needed
