About The Role:  

HR processes comply with legal and regulatory requirements and are efficient, This role focuses on ensuring HR processes are compliant with legal and regulatory standards while being efficient and continuously improving. It involves collaborating with the Head of HR Operations to develop and implement new processes, redesign existing ones, and align HR services with organizational goals. The role ensures timely and accurate HR support by monitoring service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics. It also involves working closely with HRIS, IT, and other departments to integrate HR services, while overseeing data privacy and providing insights through HR metrics and dashboards to support strategic decisions.

Workplace Arrangements:

This role will follow a fully remote schedule. Applicants for this role can expect to work from home 5 days a week. Applicants can expect to travel into Ottawa occasionally for business needs or training.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Collaborate with the Head of HR Operations to develop and implement new processes, identify and map existing HR processes, and redesign them to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the HR Shared Service Center.

  • Implement best practices in HR service delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. 

  • Implement and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure timely and accurate HR support. Regularly review performance metrics and employee feedback to drive continuous improvement.

  • Work closely with HRIS, HR business partners, IT, and other departments to ensure seamless integration and alignment of HR services and change initiatives. Act as an escalation and resolving issues in a timely manner.

  • Ensure all HR processes comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Oversee the integrity of HR data within systems, ensuring data privacy and confidentiality.

  • Working alongside HRIS, create and analyze HR metrics and dashboards. Provide insights and recommendations to the Head of HR Operations to inform strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 

  • 5+ years of experience in HR operations or shared services, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, including payroll, benefits, and compliance.

  • Proven ability in project management and process improvement methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proficient in HRIS and other relevant technology platforms (Workday preferred)

  • Strong analytical skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

Assets You May Have:

  • Bilingual English and French

  • HR certification (e.g., HRPA) is preferred
