Job description

This is a remote position.

Job type: Full-time 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday to Friday with 1 hr unpaid lunch // 6:00am - 3:00pm Manila Time
Client Timezone: Sydney, Australia

Job Summary:

The Bookkeeper will work as part of the team to provide accurate and timely financial information to the company. The successful candidate will have experience with Xero, international bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, inventory, debit and credit, trial balances, fixed assets, and payroll.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform bank reconciliations on a daily basis
  • Understand inventory and its impact on financial statements
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of debit and credit
  • Prepare trial balances and maintain accurate financial records
  • Understand the treatment of fixed assets and depreciation
  • Collaborate with the Accounting & Advisory team to ensure all financial information is accurate and up-to-date
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Accounting & Advisory Manager
  • Preparation of payroll and associated calculations for terminations and adjustments as they arise


Requirements
  • Knowledge and proficiency with the use of Xero ( at least 5 years of experience)
  • International bookkeeping experience (Australian is highly preferred - but if they are strong and have other country experience then please put them forward)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
