What you will do

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of corporate communications, including media relations, executive communications, and public relations. This role is critical in shaping our brand narrative, building relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring that our company’s voice resonates both internally and externally.


Responsibilities


Media Relations

  • Identify trending and/or evergreen storytelling opportunities to support an always-on storytelling approach.
  • Develop and execute communications in alignment with Clearspeed’s top industry sectors.
  • Conduct proactive and reactive media outreach.
  • Develop materials, such as press releases, pitches, media lists, briefing books, social media content to support media coverage, et al.
  • Develop and execute Clearspeed team media training.

Executive Thought Leadership

  • Partner with the executive team to develop thought leadership platforms, including speaking opportunities, interviews and articles, and visibility opportunities for events and awards.
  • Conduct proactive and reactive executive story development and outreach.
  • Partner with the executive team for sourcing sessions and to craft and deliver key company messages for internal and external audiences.
  • Coordinate executive media briefings for interested parties.
  • Develop materials, such as pitches, briefing books, monthly blog post, byline contributions, and presentations.

Industry Awards and Events

  • Develop communications for industry events and awards.
  • Strong awareness and tracking of industry and company events and deadlines.
  • Develop content for speaking events and award submissions.

Crisis Communications Planning, Strategy and Support

  • Plan and implement crisis communication strategies, support and counsel as needed.

Program Management

  • Develop, execute, and manage a communications and public relations strategy and program aligned with Clearspeed’s vision, mission, and business goals.
  • Develop and manage communications for client calls.
  • Manage and track budget for communications and public relations. 
  • Develop, implement, and track KPIs.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of building and executing communications strategies that drive business outcomes.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong media relations skills, with an understanding of the tech and startup landscape.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital communication trends.

Salary

Salary range is based on national benchmark data of comparable roles, skills and experience level. Exact compensation will be based on individual skills and experience, and location which will be assessed during the interview process.

Salary range: $82,013 - $180,000 per year
