Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive System Engineer with expert knowledge of JAMF Pro to manage our Apple device ecosystem. This role is critical in configuring and maintaining Macintosh operating systems, applications, and policies within JAMF. The ideal candidate will also serve as the primary Macintosh support specialist within the organization and provide general help desk support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • JAMF Configuration and Management:

  • Fully manage and administer the JAMF Pro environment.
  • Configure applications, manage settings, and develop policies specific to organizational needs on Apple devices.
  • Implement and oversee the setup of OS and application patches, ensuring that all Macintosh devices are up-to-date and secure.

  • Macintosh Systems Expertise:

  • Act as the primary "go-to" for all Macintosh-related support issues in the organization.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for macOS and related software issues.
  • Coordinate with IT and business units to optimize Macintosh configurations for various roles and applications.

  • Help Desk Support:

  • Provide help desk support, including direct resolution of complex issues for Macintosh and all help desk support tickets.
  • Mentor and assist other help desk staff in resolving Mac-specific issues and improve overall support strategies for Apple devices.
  • Analyze help desk trends related to Macintosh systems to identify and address systematic issues or training needs.

  • Documentation and Training:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on JAMF configurations, Macintosh system setups, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users on the effective use of Macintosh systems and applications.

  • REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Understanding of privileged access management (PAM).
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing JAMF Pro to configure and support Apple devices.
  • In-depth knowledge of Macintosh operating systems, applications, and hardware.
  • Proven ability to provide high-level technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Certifications such as Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or JAMF 100/200/300.
  • Experience with ITIL frameworks and providing help desk support in a structured environment.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols and configurations specific to macOS.
