Job Overview 

The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for supporting projects and programs as assigned by management. The Technical Project Manager is client facing, working directly with their government customer to facilitate project activities, and provide deliverables. Working in an Agile environment, the Project Manager will attend Agile ceremonies, mature, and enhance processes, conduct integrated release planning, and help deliver high overall productivity on the team. The Technical Project Manager is expected to fully understand all aspects of their project.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Foster a collaborative team environment by demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, mentorship, and active listening, while guiding and motivating team members toward achieving project goals
  • Lead and manage delivery of operations, services and software development programs and projects
  • Implement and manage agile processes within the cloud environment, emphasizing iterative development, continuous integration, and rapid delivery cycles
  • Manage the end-to-end SDLC process, ensuring alignment with cloud architecture best practices and government regulations
  • Ensure team adherence to established processes, procedures, and best practices by providing constructive feedback in a respectful yet assertive manner. Proactively address deviations, guiding team members toward compliance and continuous improvement, while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment
  • Comprehend SOW and manage to scope and deliverables while ensuring high levels of client satisfaction
  • Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth coordination across all phases of the SDLC, from planning to deployment
  • In cooperation with the Project Manager, develop project plans, allocate resources, and track progress to ensure on-time delivery of SDLC milestones within budgetary constraints
  • Integrate and support the rest of the Scrum team, resolving conflicts, and supporting the strategic direction of the project
  • Support and coordinate efforts to operate and maintain the AWS infrastructure
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with cloud-based development projects, particularly those related to data security, system reliability, and compliance.
  • Support knowledge sharing and understanding of requirements
  • Support business development activities to grow the company
  • Conduct integrated release planning and scheduling
  • Coordinate infrastructure maintenance
  • Conduct and coordinate technical status meetings
  • Perform technical support and direction for activities
  • Ensure Compliance with Government Standards and Policies

 

Qualifications

  •  US citizen or lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years. Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust background investigation
  • Education - Bachelor’s Degree - Minimum of 10 years of professional experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience managing government contracts
  • Five or more years of management experience, leading projects of more than 10 people
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing environment
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment. 
  • An understanding of cloud-native SDLC tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code a plus
  • An understanding of cloud security frameworks a plus

 

The salary range provided represents the estimated compensation for new hires in this position, applicable across all locations. Actual offers may vary based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and market conditions. Index complements its base salary offering with a competitive package that includes health and retirement benefits, discretionary bonuses, and reimbursement for professional development opportunities.
