Tietoevry Tech Services is seeking a highly skilled, experienced and dynamic Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions that enable our clients to make informed business decisions.

We design, build and operate modern cloud-based data management solutions - from source data to data driven tools & applications. We advise our customers to set the direction and data driven transformation focus areas. We support them in creating data strategy, designing overall IT landscape architecture and assessing and developing data related capabilities.

We work with cutting edge data related technologies like MS Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks, Spark in cloud modern space, MS Azure, AWS or GCP. We have our sights in the future, constantly looking opportunities to help our clients to improve and modernize their data space. We partner with Microsoft and other major BI vendors giving us a great opportunity to learn, grow and apply those technologies in our customer deliveries. We are taking care about data solutions for biggest Nordic companies to help them better understand their customer needs and improve their business. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and optimize high-volume batch and real-time data pipelines.

  • Develop and maintain data lake infrastructure, data warehousing, data management platforms and data analytic tools.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

  • Implement data governance and security measures.

  • Provide data insights and support to business intelligence (BI) teams.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant work experience in data engineering or a related field.

  • Fluency in both Finnish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Hands-on work experience with Snowflake data warehousing platform 

  • Experience working in modern cloud environments, preferably AWS and Azure.

  • Hands-on work experience in IBM DataStage and other IBM InfoSphere products

  • Solid understanding of data lake infrastructure, data warehousing and data analytics.

  • Proven hands-on experience in building high-volume batch or real-time data pipelines.

  • Familiarity with DataOps Management platform solutions.

  • Experience in retail sector financial data management is seen as a bonus

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

  • Interest for self-development, keeping up with new possibilities and technologies available to help our customers to reach their data goals and beyond. For example, through GenAI based solutions.
