Marketing and Advertising Account Executive

This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in the Hartford, CT office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

DESCRIPTION

Based in Hartford, Connecticut, as an Account Executive, you’ll be a member of the Marketing Planning, Operations and Analytics team and work directly with our in-house integrated marketing groups of creative professionals delivering strategic, creative and effective marketing communications to business units at The Hartford. You’ll be responsible for facilitating all aspects of marketing communications projects and campaigns on behalf of assigned clients. You’ll combine outstanding project management skills, understanding of marketing strategy, knowledge of creative project workflow, and ability to build strong working relationships to enable the success of the clients and the integrated marketing teams.

At the heart of your mission is managing the relationship with internal clients.  You’ll deliver thoughtful strategic leadership while serving as catalyst for implementing and achieving the client’s tactical marketing programs. Work alongside business unit marketing leaders, creative experts, marketing colleagues and communications pros to shape and implement marketing communications initiatives to drive desired behaviors. The position reports to the Director of Account Services.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivering flawless client service by maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers and providing solutions that meet desired outcomes
  • Manage all aspects of campaign development and execution on behalf of assigned clients, ensuring work is produced on time, on budget and with accuracy, in keeping with desired strategies
  • Act as the day-to-day contact with clients, focused on flawless execution of one-off projects and integrated campaigns
  • Develop and maintain expertise specific to assigned clients and lines of business
  • Represent the voice of the client in all project meetings and discussions
  • Foster an easy exchange of information and productive communication between teams
  • Develop project briefs and facilitate kickoff meetings to effectively set projects in motion
  • Oversight of project workflow and deliverables ensuring work is successfully executed within prescribed specs and parameters
  • Identify and manage scope changes, working with the traffic and production team to manage their impact on the schedule and/or budget, communicating implications to clients and/or the project team, as needed
  • Maintain details in our project management system, Workfront, to ensure project activity is up to date
  • Ensure final deliverables meet quality standards and expectations of both the creative team and the client
  • Prepare and share campaign performance and results reports with clients
  • Proactively suggest areas of improvement specific to internal processes and project workflow
  • Work with internal stakeholders to formulate timelines and budgets, prioritizing resources and deliverables across all projects

Education: 4 year degree.

Knowledge/Experience: 3+ years of experience in account management role, preferably in an ad agency setting

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$69,760 - $104,640
