YOUR ROLE:

The Account Director is a master of coordination, demonstrating high potential in core Business Leadership skills.  You will understand the agency portfolio of offerings and how to apply them to solve client business problems. You will partner with and own the relationships with client stakeholders. You are an agency driver who works to keep the agency operations moving along.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acts as a direct liaison between clients, cross-functional leadership, internal team members and other agency partners
  • Actively listens to clients and agency partners and can articulately communicate it back to the internal team with clear directions on next steps
  • Builds and fosters client trust and effectively manages their feedback and requests against the scope
  • Builds strong internal relationships with key agency partner stakeholders
  • Proactively manages workflow effectively in partnering with a Project Manager to ensure timelines and deliverables are met and can comfortably course-correct if needed
  • Manages projects autonomously and actively supports VP Account Director in management of more complex projects and collaborations with other agency partners
  • Develops kickoff briefs for new and incoming projects to align against client goals and business objectives
  • Comfortable in working across a variety of customer experience touchpoints and be the integration point for cross-functional teams
  • Responsible for overall client satisfaction and service/product quality.
  • Is laser focus on attention to detail and can proof client-facing materials
  • Build relationships and establish open communication stream with other agency partners (IAT)
  • Openly accept feedback (work performance and/or team performance) and ability to course correct
  • Stays calm and focused under pressure and can skillfully manage communication and deliverable across different teams.
  • Manage and mentor an Account Executive direct report by managing their role and responsibilities and guiding them in their professional growth

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in direct marketing, advertising, and/or digital marketing
  • Previous integrated marketing account experience and/or CRM experience a plus
  • Possess excellent planning, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Is an excellent team player with outstanding communication, written and presentation skills
  • Possess basic exposure and knowledge of Technology (e.g. platforms, systems front/back end, user flows, product release schedules, etc.) a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of cross-functional projects
  • Ability to build relationships and communication flow with clients and internal teams
  • Strong strategic skills and ability to develop storytelling decks that marries metrics and data insights with key project objectives, approach, and recommendation. Experience working with Strategists and/or Data Analysts a plus
  • Can effectively manage cross-functional team members to ensure there’s collaboration, communication, and alignment
  • Ability and experience in pivoting and course correct when challenges come up; Comfortable in partnering with internal team members to find alternate solutions and manage timelines and expectations
  • Experience in working collaboratively with multiple Agency partners and building relationships
  • Champions the work we do for the client and also serves as a voice for them internally
  • Has eagerness to learn and comfortable asking questions to build their knowledge of the Army business and the inner workings of internal teams

This range is specific to Chicago and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
