Job description

Sigma Defense is seeking experienced Senior Proposal Pricing Analyst to lead pricing efforts for key new business opportunities with the federal government (mainly with the Department of Defense), actively participating on proposal teams and assuming the responsibility of preparing competitive and fully compliant cost/price volumes in response to federal government solicitations.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a United States Citizen.
  • Working knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), federal government regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS, etc.), and government contract types (e.g., CPFF, FFP, T&M, etc.).
  • Extensive proposal experience in writing the cost narrative portions of company prime contract offerings to the federal government (preferably Department of Defense), and subcontractor proposals to prime contractors.
  • Exemplify a strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team to meet crucial deadlines.
  • Capable of representing the organization as a primary point of contact on pricing matters with internal cross-functional teams (i.e., Contracts, Business Development, and Operations), subcontractors, and customers.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively bring proposals to completion.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word, and also proficient with other parts of Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field of study.

Candidate Differentiators:

  • Developing intuitive, detailed cost models for various contract types, including, but not limited to, Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Time and Materials (T&M), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), and Fixed Price Level of Effort (FP-LOE).
  • Independently leading and supporting proposal activities including, but not limited to, analyzing solicitations, writing compliant and clear Cost/Price volumes, analyzing lower-tier subcontractor pricing, preparing proposal conditions and assumptions, reviewing proposal sections for accuracy and compliance, and identifying business risk and recommending strategies to mitigate such risks.
  • Leading internal pricing reviews (aka Green Team reviews), effectively communicating key solicitation requirements, pricing assumptions, and competitive analysis to key stakeholders at all levels of the company.
  • Collecting and processing competitive intelligence, cost estimation, and market trends, with the capacity to develop accurate and strategic price-to-win (PTW) models and target rate analysis.
  • Ensuring pricing is accurate and compliant with applicable solicitation requirements, company policies and procedures, and ensuring adherence to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and applicable FAR supplements, and the Truthful Cost or Pricing Data requirements.
  • Demonstrating an extremely high level of flexibility to manage simultaneous, fast-turn proposal responses; and thrive in high-tempo environments, remaining calm in high-pressure situations, and maintain professionalism under stress.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $200,000 annually.
