About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Director, Benefits Client Services to lead our Benefits Client Services team in delivering a best-in-class customer experience. In this role, you will oversee benefits administration, resolve client inquiries, and drive process improvements to ensure compliance and operational excellence. You will foster a client-first culture, ensuring clients and employees receive accurate, compliant, and timely support.

What You'll Do:

As the Assistant Director, Benefits Client Services, you will:

  • Manage Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee benefits administration, including enrollments, terminations, and life event changes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Improve Processes: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Ensure Data Accuracy: Monitor benefits data in HRIS systems, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate payroll deductions.
  • Build Client Relationships: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns and building long-term relationships.
  • Resolve Employee Issues: Handle escalated employee inquiries, such as coverage disputes and billing errors, with a clear service-level agreement (SLA) in place.
  • Lead a High-Performing Team: Supervise and mentor benefits administrators, set performance standards, provide feedback, and conduct reviews.
  • Report and Measure Performance: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to continuously improve team and operational performance.

What You Bring:
To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Education & Certification: A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Certifications in benefits or HR (CEBS, SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) are a plus.
  • Experience: 5-7 years in benefits administration or a related field, with at least 3 years of leadership experience managing a benefits team.
  • Tech Savvy: Strong proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration software (experience with UKG Ready is preferred).
  • Client-Centric Approach: Proven experience in managing client relationships and resolving escalated issues promptly.
  • Process Improvement Skills: Demonstrated ability to streamline processes, reduce errors, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of benefits regulations and compliance requirements.

The salary range for this role is $70,000-$80,000. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth and years of experience, certifications, and specific location.
