Job description

 

Cancer Specialists of North Florida is recruiting for an experienced Compliance Liaison for our busy Specialty Practice. This is not a remote position. The Compliance Liaison is responsible for recording and coordinating any and all updates on changes in the compliance program that the compliance committee and Director of Compliance have approved. This position performs regular audits on physician charts, and addresses and reports any issues found during these audits. In addition to this, the Liaison also coordinates annual training for sites and assists sites when any violations have occurred by investigating and reporting these issues to the Director of Compliance who will implement a corrective action plan. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: 

  • Maintains updated corporate compliance plan
  • Coordinates quarterly compliance committee meeting
  • Performs monthly E and M audits of physician practices
  • Maintains the administrative calendar
  • Keeps all audits from the various disciplines update to date and filed appropriately
  • Conducts monthly chart audits and prepares management reports with action plans and addresses compliance issues associated with reimbursement policies and procedures
  • Coordinates annual training for all sites
  • Coordinates external E and M audits annually
  • Assists sites when violation has occurred and investigates issue and reports to Director of Compliance.
  • Maintains working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to assigned responsibilities
  • All other duties as assigned

Education and Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • BA/BS in healthcare of business field related
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a managed healthcare setting
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a medical office working with related healthcare reimbursement and compliance

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • CPHC or CHC or CPCO

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications
