Reporting to the Manager of Software Engineering the Software Engineer II will be a member of the Payment Accuracy team. This position will be roughly 80% backend, and 20% frontend focused.

Role qualifications:

  • Demonstrated 2 years of progressive work experience designing & developing solutions for business initiatives
  • Possesses a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • May have completed technology-related certifications

  • Solving healthcare problems & improving processes
  • Developing features for Availity’s Payment Accuracy products & services leveraging FHIR
  • Performing integrations with 3rd party partners
  • Implementing a backlog of items to fulfill a focused roadmap
  • Working on a team following Agile Scrum principles
  • Incorporating development best practices
  • Having the opportunity to work full stack on front-end UI and/or backend processing
  • Using such technologies as Java, JavaScript, .NET C#, React.js, & Aurora DB
  • Applying micro-service architectures in AWS
