Sr. Accountant

Position Overview:

The Sr. Accountant at Snap Finance is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's financial operations, including general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards. This role involves preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. The Sr. Accountant will work closely with the finance team to provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze and validate large amounts of data to support month-end entries.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing financial reports and schedules.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and documentation.
• Collaborate with the finance team to provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and tools, such as ERP systems and Excel.
• Oracle NetSuite and Tableau experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
