Remote Fuel System Designer

We are currently seeking a skilled Fuel System Designer/Environmental Engineer to join our remote team. This role will focus on guiding the Fueling Design team in the development of construction plans for fuel storage tank installation projects across the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD to develop comprehensive construction plans and assist in fueling system designs.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers to meet design specifications.
• Formulate project schedules and cost estimates in alignment with client needs.
• Generate permittable and constructible plans, including preparing specifications in CSI format for bidding and construction purposes.
• Engage with clients to clarify tank system design requirements and work with local authorities to facilitate project advancement.
• Coordinate with subconsultants on design and submission processes, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget.
• Conduct SPCC inspections or supervise others in performing these inspections; prepare and certify SPCC Plans.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD with a commitment to maintaining CAD standards.
• Mechanical aptitude with a strong understanding of fueling design systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in fuel system design.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Familiarity with California fuel system requirements is advantageous.
• PE or EIT certification is preferred but not mandatory.
