Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Support Technician/Consultant in a remote capacity, where your expertise in IT and networking will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer service. We are looking for a dedicated professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and possesses a strong passion for technology and user support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee IT infrastructure, including computers, networks, servers, and systems for clients.
  • Lead the execution of various projects, ranging from minor upgrades to significant implementations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to servers, networks, wireless systems, hardware, and software.
  • Maintain accurate and organized client IT documentation, including network maps and support tickets.
  • Ensure successful domain integration for new and existing computers through server account management.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and ensure seamless operation of software across all platforms.
  • Oversee data backup and recovery processes, incorporating both local and cloud storage solutions.
  • Conduct email migrations for both local and hosted environments.
  • Diagnose and address technical issues across PC, Mac, and Linux workstations.
  • Provide remote assistance to clients via phone consultations and remote access tools.
  • Install, configure, and administer Windows and Linux servers, with a solid grasp of virtualization and Active Directory.
  • Design and support networks, including DHCP, DNS, firewall configurations, VLANs, and VPN access.
  • Establish maintenance schedules and monitor client systems using remote management tools.
  • Install and configure VOIP phone systems to facilitate effective client communication.

Required Skills

  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to troubleshoot diverse technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey technical information clearly and professionally.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of networking principles, server administration, and system management across different operating systems.
  • Experience with various operating systems, including Windows, Mac, and Linux.
  • A collaborative mindset, capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently while working within a team.

  • Proven experience in IT and networking environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve a wide range of technical issues.
