Job Overview

Join our esteemed organization as a Portfolio Consulting Manager in the Transmission sector, where you will spearhead a talented team dedicated to delivering innovative technical and economic consulting services to energy asset developers, utilities, and system operators. This remote position is based in Upstate New York, with the possibility of relocation assistance available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of consultants, nurturing their professional growth and ensuring a collaborative environment.
  • Advocate for our consulting services, actively participating in business development initiatives and strengthening relationships with both prospective and existing clients.
  • Supervise client engagements, oversee project management, and generate proposals to ensure the delivery of exceptional consulting services.
  • Collaborate across business units to enhance client interactions and outcomes.
  • Employ your strong communication skills to articulate complex concepts clearly in both written and spoken English.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, complemented by hands-on experience in power systems analysis.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in power systems consulting, particularly with utilities, ISOs, transmission organizations, or renewable energy developers.
  • Advanced proficiency in transmission or distribution principles, and expertise in tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD/EMTDC, PowerGEM TARA, or Aspen OneLiner.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 10% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Preferred advanced degree in Electrical Engineering and experience with organizations such as NYISO, ISO-NE, PJM, or SPP.
  • Proven leadership abilities demonstrated through team management and mentorship.

Compensation And Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, starting from \(98,980 to \)203,640, including an annual incentive target. Actual compensation will be adjusted based on relevant experience, skills, and geographical location.
