Job Overview

Join our dedicated team as a Transmission Portfolio Consulting Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable advancement through innovative technology solutions. In this fully remote position, based in Upstate New York, you will lead a talented group of consultants, delivering high-impact technical and economic consulting services to energy asset developers, utilities, and system operators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead and mentor a diverse team of consultants, fostering an environment of continuous professional development and celebrating achievements and learning experiences.
  • Champion business development initiatives by promoting our consulting services and forging robust relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Oversee client engagements, craft proposals, and manage projects to ensure the delivery of exceptional consulting services while collaborating with various business units to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Employ your strong presentation and writing capabilities in English to articulate complex concepts with clarity and precision.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English.
  • In-depth knowledge of transmission and distribution principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in utilizing tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD/EMTDC, PowerGEM TARA, or Aspen OneLiner.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, coupled with practical experience in power systems analysis.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in power systems consulting within utilities, ISOs, transmission organizations, or renewable development sectors.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
  • Preferred: An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, with experience in NYISO, ISO-NE, PJM, or SPP, along with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
