Consulting Manager - Transmission Portfolio (Remote)

Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and dedicated Transmission Portfolio Consulting Manager to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role will allow you to leverage your expertise to provide innovative technical and economic consulting services to energy asset developers, utilities, and system operators. Relocation assistance for candidates based in Upstate New York is available.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of consultants, fostering an environment that encourages continuous learning and professional growth.
• Drive business development initiatives by promoting our consulting services and cultivating strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
• Oversee client engagements, including proposal generation and project management, ensuring the delivery of superior consulting solutions.
• Collaborate effectively with various business units to enhance client interactions and service delivery.
• Utilize exceptional presentation and writing skills to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficient in technical principles related to transmission and distribution, with extensive experience using industry-standard tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD/EMTDC, PowerGEM TARA, or Aspen OneLiner.
• Strong communication abilities, capable of engaging stakeholders and conveying complex ideas effectively.
• Proven leadership skills demonstrated by the ability to guide and inspire a team.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in power systems consulting, specifically for utilities, ISOs, transmission organizations, or renewable developers.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for business, both domestically and internationally.
• Preferred: An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering and familiarity with NYISO, ISO-NE, PJM, or SPP.
