DevOps/TechOps

Location: Longueuil, Qc—Possibility to work from home #LI-Remote

mdf commerce Inc. is an international team of approximately 650 experts who develop a broad set of SaaS solutions to optimize and accelerate commercial interactions of its B2B and B2G customers.

Working in the e-procurement sector, we are currently looking for a DevOps/TechOps to join our team.

What will your main responsibilities look like?

In this role, you will be led to:

• Be a key player in the management of various requests concerning the AWS and Linux environments.
• Provide level 3 support services for the entire AWS Cloud ecosystem.
• Be available for technical support (24/7) as needed.
• Participate in infrastructure projects, maintain the availability, reliability, security and performance of development and production environments and its customers.
• Monitor the availability and integrity of the server, systems and key processes.
• Keep abreast of the latest industry standards and emerging technologies.
• Engage with members of the Product, Services, and Cloud Ops teams to understand our key needs around development efficiency and automation, as well as platform deployment and management.
• Build and manage tools for developer support, and automated software delivery and testing.
• Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Research new DevOps tools and techniques as appropriate, staying current with industry best practices.
• Work with our Cloud Ops team to implement and optimize automated solutions for deploying, configuring, updating, and monitoring our platform on AWS.
• Use DevOps principles to influence and create new architecture standards and best practices that improve the way our customers/partners create and manage solutions on our platform.
• Build and maintain internal documentation on properly deploying our platform, and building/managing solutions on our platform.
• Become an expert on AWS and on how to best leverage AWS infrastructure and services for deploying and managing our platform.

What elements of your professional background will be necessary and useful in this role?

You will need to be/have:

• Familiar with latest DevOps methodologies and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and AWS platforms, and related development environments.
• Experience in Linux systems administration.
• Experience with CI/CD.
• Experience in Shell, or Bash, or Python scripting.
• At least two (2) years or more of the following:
  1. Experience with EC2, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform technology.
  2. Production experience with Serverless Environment (e.g., Paas, Kubernetes).
  3. Experience building and maintaining Continuous Integration systems.
  4. Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
  5. Experience in Java coding, PosgreSQL or SQL databases.
