Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Platform Engineer to become an integral part of our innovative team dedicated to addressing complex technological challenges. In this remote role, you will utilize your extensive knowledge of hybrid infrastructures to design, develop, and manage developer platforms across both private and public cloud environments. Your proficiency in Kubernetes, cloud services, and platform APIs will empower you to produce scalable and impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer architectural expertise for the creation and management of large-scale Kubernetes clusters.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to architect and implement scalable digital solutions.
• Drive rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept projects to explore new platform capabilities.
• Maintain and enhance services that underpin containerized applications.
• Develop platform APIs to facilitate and automate standard software operations.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering their professional growth.
• Strategically plan and prioritize team sprints to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
  
  

Required Skills

• Over 5 years of experience managing production-quality Kubernetes clusters.
• 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• 3+ years of experience with contemporary programming languages like Java, Python, or Go.
• Experience in developing platform services and APIs for containerized applications.
• Proficiency in Linux and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Extensive experience with Docker and container orchestration technologies.
• Familiarity with data-intensive platforms and open-source tools.
• Agile methodology experience, including Scrum or Kanban.
