Job Summary:

The Reporting Analyst, Revenue Operations will be responsible for the design, build, iteration, and maintenance of major and minor Reporting & Analytics initiatives for Sales and Sales Support teams for the purpose of driving data insights for business decisions. Contributions in this role will directly impact major strategic Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing efforts including sales bookings and pipeline forecasts, sales capacity plans, Ideal Customer Profile analysis, annual planning and target setting, churn and retention forecasting, and marketing initiatives ROI. The role will also provide the opportunity to work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and other Revenue org support teams. 

How You Will Make an Impact: 

  • Data Visualization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build meaningful and insightful dashboards that effectively communicate business metrics and attainment against targets. Be able to tell a story with data in such a way that the story is digestible to all levels of business (e.g., be able to think like an executive to display insightful executive summaries of key business metrics). 
  • Continuous Improvement: Iterate and improve dashboards when necessary. Work with the Senior Reporting Analyst to build feedback loops and requirements gathering cadences with Sales Leaders and Front Line Managers to ensure that dashboards are always up-to-date with target metrics and relevant insights. Also work with the Senior Reporting Analyst to build and manage a formal Change Management structure to communicate changes and updates to existing dashboards and reports. 
  • Issue and Risk Identification: Be proactive in flagging possible data issues. Work with the Senior Reporting Analyst to build and manage a review and maintenance cadence for all dashboards. Work with the IT Data Services team to build a review and maintenance cadence for the OI Warehouse. Be obsessive about ensuring data accuracy with all dashboards. 
  • Board Reporting: Work with senior leadership and Senior Reporting Analyst to provide data points and content for board reports. Be able to tell the story behind the data and provide commentary to account for data anomalies and trends. 
  • Annual Planning: Build and maintain complex forecasting and planning models based on historical and current data that help to set targets and KPIs for yearly planning for sales and marketing groups.  

What You Will Bring to the Role: 

Experience:

  • 3+ years experience in a Revenue Operations or Sales Operations role. 
  • Extensive experience with PowerBI, SQL, and data visualization tools and techniques
    • Knowledge of and familiarity with other analytics tools preferred but not required (I.e., Tableau, Google Analytics, etc.) 
  • Demonstrated experience in creating Executive-level and deep dive dashboards from a single data warehouse 
  • Experience and comfortability with presenting and communicating with all levels of business
  • Demonstrated experience with Sales, Capacity, and Commission planning and modelling 

Key Skills and Competencies: 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Sales and Marketing cycles and metrics preferred 
  • Relentless attention to detail 
  • Diplomacy and influence to talk through compromise but also be able to influence outcomes where your expertise should take precedence
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills to tell the story behind the data and make recommendations
  • Adaptable to changing processes, demands and priorities
  • Organization and time management to prioritize and manage project plans

Education Recommendations:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience

Location Information: Our ideal candidate is located in Canada with the Eastern or Central time zone.  

The expected base salary range for a new hire in this role is listed below. The annualized base salary offered is determined by each candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, training and experience. It is aligned to ensure both internal and external competitiveness using market data for the geographic location and industry. As part of the total compensation at D2L the role may be eligible for additional benefits including a Wellness Subsidy, Equity Grants, Variable Incentive, and more.

Base Salary Range
$70,000$86,000 CAD
