Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and driven Remote/Hybrid Associate Electrical Engineer to join our distinguished team at PostJobMatches By WorkStaff USA, a premier staffing agency renowned for connecting exceptional professionals with leading organizations across the nation. This role allows for a hybrid working arrangement, requiring in-office attendance two days per week at one of our locations in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, or Seattle, with the flexibility of remote work for the remainder of the week. Candidates must possess relevant electrical engineering experience within the state of California.

Key Responsibilities

As an integral member of our engineering team, your duties will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, including:

  • Collaborating closely with clients, architects, and fellow engineers to drive project success.
  • Producing comprehensive design documentation, including detailed drawings, electronic models, specifications, and reports across various electrical projects.
  • Organizing technical and financial proposals for new initiatives.
  • Overseeing the workload of Project Discipline Engineers and Technicians, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Leading concept and preliminary engineering solutions, transitioning to detailed designs.
  • Preparing technical specifications and monitoring project financial performance.
  • Providing mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth.
  • Ensuring adherence to relevant policies, legislation, and building codes.
  • Proactively communicating workload concerns and managing personal assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Contributing to the profitability of projects through effective resource management and financial oversight.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following competencies:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering design, specifically in building services and the construction sector.
  • Experience in project sectors such as Higher Education, Museums, Commercial, Transportation Hubs, and/or Stadiums.
  • A relevant bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is desirable; LEED AP accreditation preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with computational analysis tools, including electrical fault analysis and lighting design software.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with excellent technical knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
