Key Responsibilities

  • Create, execute, and maintain test automation scripts based on business requirements, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Perform manual and automated functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Ensure QA processes are integrated with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) while complying with Information Security and Data Governance policies.
  • Proactively communicate issues by logging defects and working closely with developers and other team members to ensure their resolution.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance the QA process by researching new approaches to automation, including AI-powered solutions.
  • Perform ETL and data testing, SQL validation, and reconciliation tasks to ensure data accuracy across various systems.
  • Review and understand business requirements (BRDs) and ensure the successful testing of database tables using UPATH for database testing.
  • Collaborate with Scrum teams to carry out software quality assurance activities, ensuring robust test coverage for complex product features.

Required Experience

  • 6-9 years of experience in software testing in a structured, process-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, SQL, PowerShell, and Bash.
  • Proven experience with test automation tools and frameworks for web, desktop, API, and batch applications.
  • Strong background in ETL and data testing, with expertise in SQL validation, data reconciliation, and database validation.
  • Familiarity with Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
  • Experience using Cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD) and automated testing.
  • Proficiency in reviewing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and experience as an UPATH tester for validating database functionality and data integrity.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical test plans.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field. A Master’s degree is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the financial services industry is a plus.
