Job description

Overview

Are you passionate about space technology, artificial intelligence, and creating exceptional user experiences? Do you have a talent for front-end development and a keen eye for design? If so, we invite you to join our dynamic team at AIKO as a Front-End Developer. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user interfaces of our space system software, making them user-friendly, efficient, and visually impressive.

Aerospace experience is not required to be successful here - we look for smart, motivated, collaborative engineers who love solving problems and want to make a difference in the future of space missions.

Tasks

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, back-end developers, and product managers, to develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces for our space system software.
Translate designs and wire-frames into high-quality code.
Continuously improve and maintain existing front-end code-base, troubleshoot issues, and optimize user interfaces for speed and scalability.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions for enhancing user experiences.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to promote a culture of excellence.
Contribute to developing UI/UX guidelines and design systems to ensure consistency and coherence across our software products.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Front-End Developer Â (we will happily have a look at your portfolio or previous work if you like/can share it with us).
Working knowledge of HTML, and CSS.
Working knowledge of Typescript and modern front-end frameworks ( React, Â Vue, or similar).
Knowledge of components library and design systems.
Knowledge of the Git version control systems or similar.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with common bundling tools (webpack, vite, or similar).
Experience with Figma or similar design tools.
Experience with E2E testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress).
A critical eye for UX.

Salary for the role: 30K - 40K (RAL)
