Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze credit requests for commercial inventory loan financing, carefully evaluating the associated risks.
  • Review business financial performance by examining balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow patterns, alongside key financial ratios and metrics.
  • Assess the character and credibility of owners and guarantors as an essential part of the evaluation process.
  • Present credit requests, detailing the necessary conditions for approval and required loan documentation.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit narratives for both new and returning clients, focusing on risk assessment, financial capability, principal experience, guarantor support, industry insights, and economic trends.
  • Conduct in-depth financial statement analysis, assessing ratios and measuring credit risk.
  • Scrutinize consumer credit and third-party business reports to guide decision-making.
  • Determine required documentation, including guarantees, UCCs, and additional collateral.
  • Perform periodic assessments of customer relationships to validate risk ratings and financial stability.
  • Engage collaboratively with prospective and existing customers and liaise with internal departments such as sales, operations, and legal.
  • Manage ancillary duties as needed, including system verification, documentation reviews, training, and reporting.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
  • A minimum of three years of pertinent credit experience
  • Strong capability to analyze financial statements and tax returns, including trend, ratio, and cash flow assessments
  • Comprehensive understanding of secured lending documentation, such as UCCs, Purchase Money Security Interests, Intercreditor Agreements, and Letters of Credit
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a precise attention to detail.
