Job description

VicRoads RLS, founded in August 2022 by a consortium of Aware Super, Australian Retirement Trust, Macquarie Asset Management, and the Victorian State Government, operates under a long term concession deed issued by the State Government. We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfil regulatory requirements, deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access, infrastructure and safety 

  • Annual Salary Range: VPS 6
  • Employment Type: Ongoing - Full-Time 
  • Usual Work Location: Rialto Melbourne CBD/ Work from home (flexibility may be available)  

 

About the Opportunity 

As the Governance, Risk, Compliance & Assurance Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of a first line risk and compliance capability and the establishment and operation of a governance and assurance framework across the entire Technology organisation (including information security) within the VicRoads.  
 

Your primary focus will be to coordinate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies and policies to mitigate risks, maintain regulatory compliance, and uphold the organisation's commitment to best practice across the Technology Operations landscape. 

About you
 


The skills and experience required in the position include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks across the organisation relating to a centrally provided Technology function. 
  • Monitor and analyse risk data to identify emerging trends and provide recommendations for risk reduction. 
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop risk response plans and ensure their timely execution. 
  • Establishment and implementation of an integrated assurance framework for the technology function including information security. 
  • Stay updated with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure the cloud and infrastructure operations achieves compliance requirements.
