Job Description

The role of the Systems and Compliance Consultant is to ensure that the payroll system is compliant with Legislation, aligned to SEEK policies and working to provide support in the delivery of SEEK payroll for Australia and New Zealand. 

The role reports into the Manager, Payroll & HRC. On a day to day basis this role works closely with the Payroll Team Lead and with the Payroll and HR team. The role provides support to internal stakeholders P&C, Finance Business Partners, Leaders & People Tech & Insights team and SEEKers. The role liaises with external compliance agnencies SRO, ATO, IRD and Workcover authorities.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain the payroll system to ensure that it is fully compliant and up to date with current Australian and New Zealand Legislation, SEEK policies, and the National Employment Standards (NES).
  • The completion and lodgement of day to day payroll compliance requirements for Australia and New Zealand including Superannuation, KiwiSaver, ATO and IRD tax payments Payroll Tax and WorkCover
  • Lead the completion of payroll compliance audits  related  to Superannuation, KiwiSaver, ATO and IRD tax payments, Payroll Tax and WorkCover
  • Assist with internal and external payroll audits
  • Maintain up to date and accurate process documentation
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders teams to ensure compliance and improve system efficiency
  • Work with the Payroll Team Lead to assist the payroll team with problem resolution and payroll system support
  • Support and back up the Payroll Team Lead, assist with the payoll team with payroll processing in a backup capacity.

Qualifications
  • Successful record of delivering on time and accurate payroll compliance for a medium size ASX listed company
  • Previous experience with internal and external payroll audits
  • Extensive knowledge of Australian and New Zealand Payroll Legislation and compliance requirements
  • In depth knowledge and experience with payroll systems.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Intermediate level Excel skills.
