Engineering Manager

You are a perfect candidate if you possess:

• Technical Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge of Golang with a grasp of its idiomatic approach and specific functionalities.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript and React for frontend services.
  • Solid understanding of API concepts and ability to architect different communication designs (gRPC, REST, streaming, event sourcing).
  • Experience with domain-driven design practices (event storming).
  • Experience and knowledge of best practices related to technology platforms.
• Leadership & Management:
  • A minimum of 3+ years of engineering management experience, including leading staff and principal engineers.
  • Proven track record of building and managing teams that deliver successful products.
  • Enjoy working closely with both internal and external customers.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, coupled with the ability to make sound decisions and navigate trade-offs.
  • Foster a healthy work environment that promotes both support and challenge.
• Experience & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent work experience).
  • 10+ years of experience in software design and development, with a focus on backend services.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in an object-oriented coding language (Go, C++, C#, Java).
  • Experience in architecting distributed systems (3+ years).
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English, with strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
  • DevOps experience in maintaining live services and/or application frameworks (a plus).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, with AWS experience highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a systematic and structured approach to software design.
