Junior Python Software Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Junior Python Software Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:

As a Junior Python Software Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Our excellent infrastructure team is responsible for developing products and tools that will challenge client’s main product and make sure we keep it reliable and strong. The team is working with cutting-edge technologies like Linux, Windows, Python3, Influx, Grafana, Jenkins, AWS, GCP, Azure, K8s (and other containers technologies), and more.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain unit, integration testing and build infrastructure
• Develop scale automated tests using Python
• Write tools for scale testing, as well as the test scale scenarios themselves
• Help handling scale, performance, and reliability challenges of a complex system
• Take part in defining the code-quality approach and vision of the company by working on innovative projects

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in Software development
• Basic knowledge of network administration
• Confident Linux user
• Basic acknowledgement in container technologies (Docker or similar)
• Ability to read, research, and learn best practices from external sources.

Desirable:

• Networking experience is a big plus
• Experience with C language
• Experience with K8s, Docker, and other container technologies
• Previous experience working on security or networking-based projects
• In-depth knowledge of LinuxWindows OS
• B.Sc in computer science or related degree
