About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C#, database management, SQL, and data warehousing, with extensive experience in SSAS, DAX, and MDX. As a Senior BI Developer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing our Business Intelligence solutions, ensuring efficient data replication, transformation, and storage processes. You will also be responsible for optimizing data infrastructure and guiding the team on best practices.

What you’ll do
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our in-house BI application to ensure high-performance data replication, transformation, and calculation processes.
  • Architect and optimize complex data workflows, ETL processes, and data storage solutions to support both SSAS tabular and multidimensional models.
  • Stay at the forefront of the latest BI technologies and best practices, driving innovation within the team.
  • Oversee and participate in the entire data lifecycle, including data ingestion, transformation, calculation, testing/reconciliation, storage, and consumption.
  • Continuously monitor, tune, and optimize the data infrastructure to ensure performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand complex data requirements and deliver innovative, data-driven BI solutions.
  • Provide mentorship to junior developers and ensure adherence to best practices in BI development and data management.
  • Ensure data integrity and quality standards are met by:
  • Delivering high-quality software and collaborating with QA/SDETs to define and implement a robust Test Strategy.
  • Writing tests and guiding other developers to write tests where appropriate
  • Proactively identifying potential risks, dependencies and testing tasks during backlog grooming/planning.
What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in BI development, with proven expertise in designing and managing complex BI solutions.
  • Strong background in C# with solid object-oriented programming principles
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, SQL Server, and advanced database management and data warehousing concepts.
  • Extensive experience with SSAS (both tabular and multidimensional models), DAX, and MDX.
  • Expertise in managing version control systems (e.g., Git) and experience working within agile development methodologies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in testing and delivering high-quality BI solutions, with a focus on maintaining data integrity and performance.
