QA Engineer

About the position:

Gotbit's Development Department is looking for a QA Engineer.

This role involves full-cycle testing of the backend and frontend, writing test documentation, performing manual testing (functional, integration, regression, smoke), and logging defects. It also includes preparing reports, evaluating tasks for testability, collaborating with the team on testing challenges, and developing test automation scripts.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting the full testing cycle (both backend and frontend)
• Analyzing requirements and writing test documentation (test cases for manual and automated testing, checklists), logging defects in the ticket system
• Performing manual functional, integration, regression, and smoke testing of web applications
• Collecting metrics and preparing reports
• Participating in the decomposition and evaluation of technical problems from a testing perspective
• Participating in the analysis phase of tasks to ensure all aspects can be tested and understood
• Collaborating with team members to identify and address feature testing challenges
• Developing test automation scripts

Requirements:

• Experience in automated testing using Python, pytest, allure, playwright, and/or Selenium.
• Knowledge and experience in developing test documentation: bug reports, test cases, checklists and test plans, requirements trace matrix.
• Knowledge of REST API, grpc, wss, understanding of web service technologies, microservice architecture
• Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Experience working with databases (SQL, Redis, PromQL).
• Experience in cross-browser testing (Browserstack)
• Experience in API testing (Swagger, Postman)
• A solid understanding of test automation patterns and best practices.

Beneficiary: Understanding of trading logic (cex, dex, Algo trading, futures, etc) / Experience with Gitlab as a CI/CD tool / Understanding of interaction with databus (NATS) / Experience with Docker
