We’re Looking For A: Inside Sales Specialist to work with the field sales team to aid distribution growth and marketing programs of Golden Hippo pet brands via virtual selling and support. The Inside Sales Specialist will focus on driving growth with independent pet stores across the Eastern U.S. and be responsible for increasing points of distribution, building strong relationships with smaller stores, and ensuring full product visibility and merchandising support. This role will work closely with store owners and managers to ensure that stores are fully equipped with the right tools to maximize product sales and visibility.

Location: Remote (Office in Woodland Hills, CA)

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Engage with assigned small and independent pet stores to introduce new products from existing brands. Drive new product sell-in to increase points of distribution across assigned territory.
  • Ensure stores are fully equipped with relevant merchandising materials and consumer sales tools to promote product movement.
  • Ensure assigned stores are actively participating in company-led marketing initiatives and online training programs.
  • Invest trade funds strategically to secure new product distribution or secure prime in-store display space.
  • Leverage sales data to identify stores with slow-moving inventory or latent ordering patterns and work to maintain and improve shelf position in these locations.
  • Assist the Territory Sales Manager (TSM) and participate in both trade and consumer events as needed to support overall sales efforts.

  • Ability to interact and motivate partners including Store Managers and store personnel
  • Self motivated and self directed with the ability to perform well with limited direction
  • Detail orientation and great follow through
  • Ability to convey information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. 
  • Skilled in active listening and presenting ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Understanding and meeting customer needs, ensuring satisfaction, and resolving issues professionally and promptly.
  • Persistent personality and proactive attitude, taking ownership of tasks, and demonstrating resourcefulness in identifying and pursuing opportunities for improvement.
  • Required Education: Business degree or equivalent experience 
  • Required Experience: 1-2 years of sales related work experience or recent college graduate in a business related field

The base salary range is $60,000.00-$75,000.00, with an additional bonus opportunity. 
Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geographical location.
