Daily Responsibilities:

Accepting and processing assigned 835 batches
Correcting remittance errors within 835 batches
Posting Self-Pay remittances to Guarantor/Patient accounts
Manually post EOBs from EFT and paper checks long with denials and all other pertinent follow up information
Closes each batch by verifying all payments have been entered and control totals match
Understand insurance Recoupments and post according to 835 or paper check EOB with correct payment codes
Post unidentified payments to correct account
Research unidentified payments
Work unmatched 835’s (includes missing payments)
Works any items assigned by Lead and Manager

Skills and Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience reading EOBs
At least 1 years of Revenue Cycle Management experience
Have knowledge of Primary, Secondary, and tertiary insurances
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral, with people from diverse backgrounds, while providing outstanding customer service
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to quickly adapt to and proficiently navigate diverse software applications required to manage assigned tasks
Ability to exercise independent judgement when needed
Detail oriented with time management and analytical skills
Be a self-starter and quick learner
Work well independently and as a team
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
