What You Will Be Doing: 

 

As a member of our growing Finance and Accounting team, you’ll be responsible for assisting the accounting team close the books monthly and report timely and accurate financial results.  

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile account balances, ensuring accurate supporting documentation.
  • Perform month-end closing activities for various accounts/processes.
  • Assist with billing, monthly statement processing and other billing tasks as assigned by the Accounting Manager
  • Process client credits for client accounts
  • Apply cash payments to client accounts
  • Provide support with resolving collection issues 
  • Collaborate with staff accountants on complex accounting activities 
  • Assist with month-end close process to ensure accurate, compliant and timely month-end and year-end closings 
  • Compile standard and ad-hoc monthly and annual accounting reports and analysis
  • Communicate with all levels of management 
  • Assist with special projects and billing assistance as needed 

 

You’ve Got What It Takes If You:

 

  • Experience with Financial Software such as NetSuite, Solomon, MS Excel, MS Access and Salesforce.com
  • Works well with others including prior experience interacting with clients and resolving clients’ questions and issues
  • Ability to meet deadlines efficiently and effectively
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills with a strict attention to detail  
  • Ability to interact with and provide updates to senior management, both internally and externally  
  • Must be extremely responsive, results oriented, enthusiastic, and an effective problem solver  
  • Must be highly flexible, able to learn quickly, and responsible for your actions and decisions  


Must Have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3-5 years as a Staff Accountant 

 

Nice to Have: 

  • Master’s degree in business or accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)

The compensation range for this position is $50,000-$100,000.  RegEd's compensation package is based on each candidate's unique skills, qualifications and experience.  Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience and qualifications.  The total compensation package also includes our comprehensive benefits package, vacation time, sick time, volunteer time and parental leave.
