Job Overview:

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Product Management to lead the development and strategic direction of our Evidence Generation Platform for the discovery and life sciences markets. This role will drive the creation of data-driven tools and platforms that empower researchers, biotech companies, and pharmaceutical partners to generate actionable insights from real-world data (RWD), clinical trials, and high-throughput research. The ideal candidate will combine deep product management expertise, strong technical acumen, and an understanding of the life sciences ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the evidence generation platform, ensuring alignment with company goals, market demands, and user needs in the biopharma, healthcare, and life sciences sectors.
  • Identify key market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to ensure the platform is at the forefront of innovation in real-world evidence (RWE) and data analytics.
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers, providing strategic guidance and ensuring alignment across multiple product lines and initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, promoting cross-functional partnerships with engineering, data science, regulatory, and commercial teams.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders (e.g., R&D, business development, and commercial teams) and external partners (e.g., biotech, pharma, and academic researchers) to understand evolving needs in evidence generation, clinical trials, and discovery science.
  • Act as the primary advocate for the product with executive leadership, ensuring buy-in and resource allocation for key initiatives.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle of the evidence generation platform, from concept to market delivery.
  • Prioritize platform features and enhancements based on user feedback, market opportunities, and internal capabilities, ensuring the platform delivers cutting-edge functionality (e.g., data integration, analytics, AI/ML capabilities, cohort analysis, etc.).
  • Ensure the product is scalable, modular, and compliant with regulatory and data privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, 21 CFR Part 11).
  • Lead ongoing market analysis to assess customer needs, technology developments, and industry competition in real-world evidence, clinical data, and discovery research tools.
  • Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for the platform, working closely with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure successful product launches and adoption.
  • Oversee pricing models, market positioning, and messaging to maximize the platform’s commercial potential in life sciences research and biopharma development.
  • Lead data-driven product decisions, utilizing user analytics, customer feedback, and market metrics to continuously iterate on the product roadmap.
  • Develop and implement KPIs to track product performance and success, adjusting strategies as needed to meet revenue and adoption targets.
  • Establish strong relationships with key customers, acting as the voice of the customer and ensuring the platform delivers value to researchers and decision-makers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree (PhD) or MBA is highly preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading product strategy for software platforms in the life sciences, healthcare, or clinical research sectors, particularly focusing on data platforms, analytics, or evidence generation tools.
  • Hands-on experience working with real-world data (RWD), real-world evidence (RWE), clinical data, or omics technologies.
  • Track record of managing end-to-end product lifecycles for complex, data-driven platforms in highly regulated environments.
  • Deep understanding of evidence generation platforms, data management (e.g., RWD, EHRs, clinical trials data, registries), and associated analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML applications in life sciences research, with a focus on how these technologies can be leveraged to advance drug discovery, clinical trials, and outcomes research.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructures (e.g., AWS, GCP) and API-driven product ecosystems.
  • Strong expertise in Agile methodologies, including scrum, sprint planning, and backlog management.
  • Experience working with multi-functional teams, including engineering, data science, and commercial teams, to drive product delivery and growth.
  • Ability to translate complex user requirements and technical challenges into clear
  • Deep knowledge of the discovery and life sciences markets, including the challenges and opportunities in biopharma R&D, clinical development, and regulatory landscapes.
  • Experience working with C-suite executives, board members, and external partners, with the ability to communicate strategic goals and product vision effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with AI/ML-based discovery tools or evidence generation platforms.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing the use of RWE in drug development, such as FDA guidance on RWE and clinical data integration.
  • Experience in product management of SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) platforms tailored to biopharma or clinical trials workflows.
  • Experience with API design and third-party integrations in evidence generation ecosystems.
  • Understanding of user-centered design and UX/UI best practices in the context of scientific or healthcare tools.
