The Bridge Specialty Group seeks an Assistant Underwriter to join our team in Boulder, CO. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist the underwriter and review insurance renewal applications to evaluate, classify, and rate risks for insurance and accepts or rejects applications.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Underwriting, rating, and marketing of new and renewal policy submissions
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with agent/carrier underwriters including pricing, additional coverages, deductibles, and exclusions
  • Solicit additional lines of coverage.
  • Review insurance applications and quotes for accuracy/completeness
  • Servicing existing renewals, surplus lines review, following up for underwriting information
  • Maintain/arrange client files, submission files, issuing policies and endorsements, invoicing policies, policy disbursement, audit reviews
  • Maintaining quality control guidelines and meeting requirements for licensing
  • Building key relationships with both retail & carrier partners while supporting the Production

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • High School or equivalent education; Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a Four-Year College or University preferred
  • Currently holds or open to attaining an active state insurance license
  • Strong PC skills including Word & Excel
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work well with others in a production team environment
  • Committed to excellent customer service

Pay Range

21.63 - 26.44 Hourly

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly
rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
