Role Purpose: This is a key account sales position working from a home office within an assigned portfolio of named customer accounts and prospects. A successful DCS I is a pivotal player in expanding our footprint in the leadership development industry, effectively teaming with Project Managers, Solution Architects/designers/sales engineers, Consulting Partners/facilitators, Coaching Solution Architects, Learning Services Specialists, and CST Leader/Sales Lead. A DCS I is the team member with the primary accountability to acquire, nurture, retain, develop and grow large customers, working in a highly collaborative and team-based manner. As a result, the DCS I creates substantial value for all stakeholders (customers, colleagues and the company), transforming organizations and driving meaningful and measurable outcomes

**This position is based in the United Kingdom.

Duties include:

  • Successfully achieve annual sales and profitability targets.
  • Lead development and execution of a portfolio plan and account development plans.
  • Collaborate with account team on the development and execution of account development plans.
  • Effectively manage sales pipeline and expand business within designated key and high potential accounts.
  • Use of a consultative selling approach to uncover client needs and promote the full scope of Blanchard products and services with an enterprise wide focus.
  • Create effective sales proposals and discovery documents.
  • Conduct face to face presentations with existing and prospective clients.
  • Responsible for nurturing client relationships to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Utilize CRM system to manage client accounts.
  • Ensure outstanding accounts receivable is within acceptable parameters.
  • Strategically manage revenue and costs to ensure desired level of profitability.
  • Partner with Blanchard project managers, consultants and trainers on client delivery initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain contact with senior executives in key accounts.

This role targets key accounts within a portfolio, requiring more personalized engagement strategies and extensive use of CRM systems to manage client relationships. The position involves a combination of virtual and face-to-face interactions, indicating higher travel requirements and a more resource-intensive approach, especially with more than 50% travel.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5-10 years previous selling experience
  • Previous record of attaining and exceeding sales goals
  • Demonstrated success selling to new/existing accounts
  • Experience maintaining client accounts over a long period of time.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems

Work Environment: Normal office environment to include operating a computer and using the phone. Requires adaptability, quick decision making, oral communication, ability to interpret data, dependability, good judgment, reading, social skills, influence and relate to others, stress controls, ability to work independently. Travel required more than 50% of the time primarily in Region.
