Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Lines Insurance Account Manager to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary liaison for our clients, ensuring they receive exceptional service while proactively identifying new business opportunities to drive growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster and nurture robust relationships with clients and internal teams, guaranteeing that service needs are efficiently met.
  • Ensure consistent, clear, and timely communication through both verbal and written channels, addressing client inquiries with care and professionalism.
  • Oversee account management by addressing coverage concerns and playing an instrumental role in expanding existing client relationships.
  • Formulate strategies for new business development and account renewals, including preparing marketing specifications and submission materials, gathering underwriting information, analyzing coverage, and delivering informed recommendations.
  • Maintain a keen awareness of the marketplace for account placements, including enhancements to coverage, pricing negotiations, and policy terms.
  • Provide exceptional client support by assisting with coverage changes, educating clients about details and exclusions, and ensuring accurate electronic documentation.
  • Execute administrative duties such as ordering and issuing binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and related items while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Proactively manage retention efforts by thoughtfully handling cancellations and taking steps to retain accounts when feasible, and re-marketing accounts as per agency guidelines.
  • Maintain precise client files in the agency management system (AMS) and adhere to automation procedures for documentation and updates.
  • Offer technical support to affiliates and insureds concerning coverage, proposals, and related inquiries.
  • Manage billing methods (agency or direct), invoice appropriately, and coordinate financing agreements for agency bill accounts when necessary.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years of insurance experience is preferred, with a focus on hospitality insurance (bars, taverns, and clubs) being an advantage.
  • Current Property & Casualty Broker License is required.
  • Comprehensive understanding of insurance coverages, including complex issues and market dynamics.
  • Proficient in utilizing various software applications, including Outlook, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Agency Management Systems (Hawksoft preferred) & Dropbox.
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong emphasis on organization and attention to detail.
  • A collaborative team player who excels in a goal-oriented environment, demonstrating strong multitasking capabilities.
