Key Responsibilities

As a Default Mortgage Specialist, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Addressing diverse mortgage collections inquiries such as processing payments, establishing repayment plans, and negotiating resolutions for delinquent accounts.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service by thoroughly researching and resolving inquiries and complaints with a focus on achieving first-call resolution.
  • Monitoring accounts that are past due, initiating necessary collection actions, and informing account holders and cosigners about their account status.
  • Thriving in a fast-paced and structured environment while meeting performance metrics with an unwavering commitment to quality and productivity.
  • Promoting company products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve individual, team, and departmental objectives related to service level agreements and client satisfaction.
  • Completing additional tasks and projects as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in the mortgage servicing industry or a call center environment.
  • Successful participation in a comprehensive training program, including the completion of all assessments.
  • A thorough understanding of relevant regulations, including TCPA, FDCPA, Regulation E, Regulation Z, Regulation X, Regulation V, and others.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends as required.
