Position Title: Global Payroll Senior Project Manager (Contract)

Project Duration: 24-month contract (potential for extension)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - Seattle

Weekly Hours: 40 hours

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this contract role falls between \(197,000 and \)239,000 annually. Specific compensation will be determined based on multiple factors, including experience, skills, and geographic location.

Key Responsibilities

In the capacity of Global Payroll Senior Project Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Deputy Director of Payroll to provide strategic leadership and expertise in the following areas:

  • Partner with the Deputy Director to redefine the team's vision, mission, and goals based on the existing framework.
  • Provide thought leadership in organizational design to ensure alignment with the payroll team’s objectives.
  • Conduct a comprehensive analysis to identify gaps in current capabilities versus future requirements (including functions, skills, operating models, and tools).
  • Formulate and propose an organizational plan derived from the gap analysis, considering team readiness and leadership factors.
  • Tackle complex operational payroll challenges by implementing collaborative solutions, utilizing your extensive knowledge of global payroll processes and HRIS.
  • Evaluate and improve payroll procedures across all regional offices and affiliated entities, emphasizing efficiency and best practices.
  • Deliver technical guidance and support for payroll-related projects to team members.

Required Skills

  • At least 10 years of experience working with payroll systems.
  • Proven track record in advising clients through payroll system migrations, upgrades, and implementations.
  • Strong expertise in assessing payroll processes for efficiency and crafting long-term strategies, especially in organizational design.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems (experience with Workday and international third-party service providers is highly preferred).
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, with an acute attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Familiarity with Global Mobility policies and compensation, with experience in managing both U.S. and global payroll.
  • Strong project management skills coupled with the ability to oversee external vendors' work.
  • A genuine passion for process enhancement and the application of technology.
  • Preference for candidates based in the Seattle area; however, remote candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
