Job Overview

We are searching for a detail-oriented Beverage Buyer to join our esteemed procurement team remotely. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that our inventory reflects both quality and consumer preferences, fostering relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Anticipate customer demand and place appropriate orders to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Negotiate effectively to secure advantageous pricing, quality assurance, and superior service from suppliers.
  • Advocate for and uphold procurement policies to ensure compliance across the organization.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with various internal teams to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with vendors, store operations, and distribution networks.
  • Analyze performance reports to monitor costs, quality, and inventory metrics.
  • Address and resolve store-level inventory challenges and billing discrepancies.
  • Maintain current knowledge of market trends and promotional factors impacting inventory.
  • Conduct store visits to gather insights and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Manage accounts payable processes and maintain accurate financial records.

Required Skills

  • Proven track record in purchasing or vendor management within the beverage sector or retail industry (3+ years).
  • Exceptional inventory management and beverage procurement expertise.
  • Strong organizational capabilities complemented by analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, facilitating robust relationship-building.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-energy, multitasking environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in beverage procurement or vendor management.
