Key Responsibilities

  • Anticipate market demand by analyzing consumer trends and placing orders accordingly.
  • Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and service.
  • Uphold procurement policies, ensuring compliance across all team members.
  • Maintain ideal inventory levels while minimizing excess and waste.
  • Collaborate effectively with various internal departments to achieve shared objectives.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with vendors, store operations, and distribution centers.
  • Analyze performance reports to track cost efficiency, quality standards, and inventory management.
  • Address and resolve inventory challenges and billing discrepancies at the store level.
  • Stay abreast of evolving market trends and the impacts of promotions.
  • Conduct store visits to collect feedback and evaluate program success.
  • Manage accounts payable functions and keep precise records.
  • Access procurement systems remotely as needed.

Required Skills

  • Over 8 years of experience in purchasing or vendor management within the grocery, candy, or beverage sectors.
  • Additional experience in marketing, logistics, or store operations is a plus.
  • Expertise in candy procurement, inventory management, and financial practices.
