Job Overview

This remote position allows you to share your expertise in areas such as photo lighting, experimental techniques, and darkroom photography with aspiring photographers from various backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an extensive photography curriculum that covers both fundamental and advanced techniques.
• Deliver engaging lectures, design assignments, and provide constructive critiques of students’ work, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application.
• Instruct students in both analog and digital photography, ensuring their proficiency in traditional camera usage and darkroom processes, as well as modern digital editing tools.
• Facilitate learning in diverse environments, including virtual classrooms, studios, and darkrooms, while providing individualized feedback and fostering a supportive educational atmosphere.
• Utilize online platforms such as LMS Canvas and Zoom to create effective and interactive online learning experiences for remote instruction.
  
  

Required Skills

• Profound understanding of various photographic styles, including portraiture, commercial photography, landscape, and documentary.
• Strong proficiency in lighting techniques and innovative practices such as cyanotype, photomontage, and double exposure.
• Ability to clearly articulate and demonstrate photography techniques while cultivating a collaborative learning environment.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Canvas for managing course materials.
  
  

Qualifications

• Required: MFA in Visual Arts or a related discipline.
• Preferred: MFA in Photography, accompanied by a substantial portfolio that showcases professional accomplishments or artistic exhibitions.
