Job Overview

We invite you to join our professional team as a Contract Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in a remote capacity. You will play a vital role in delivering exceptional psychiatric care to clients across various age groups. Our organization values flexibility, offering the opportunity to engage in telehealth services via Doxy.Me or to serve patients in-person at our Baltimore location. We are particularly seeking candidates who are available to support our patients during afternoon and evening hours. In this role, you will be responsible for performing psychiatric evaluations, managing medication regimens, and potentially providing therapeutic services according to your licensure and professional expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth psychiatric evaluations, accurately diagnose mental health disorders, and formulate customized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and manage medications for patients.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions when relevant to the treatment plan.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, therapists, and case managers, to ensure coordinated care.
  • Maintain precise and timely records of patient progress and treatment plans.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to enhance holistic patient outcomes.
  • Offer consultations via telehealth and/or in-person, based on client needs and preferences.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding mental health issues and available treatment methodologies.

Required Skills

  • Active PMHNP-BC licensure in the state of Maryland (or eligibility for Maryland licensure).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proven capability to work independently while effectively managing a caseload.
  • Proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms.
  • Experience in working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatry or behavioral health is preferred.
