Job Overview

We are in search of a dedicated and empathetic Medical Collections Representative to become a vital part of our team. This position involves managing both inbound and outbound communications with patients, assisting with billing-related inquiries, and facilitating seamless payment processing along with financial assistance programs. You will work collaboratively with patients to establish manageable payment plans, ensure precise documentation of collection activities, and strive to meet or exceed our established collection goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound calls addressing patient inquiries regarding billing, payment processing, and financial assistance availability.
• Execute payment transactions using various methods, including credit and debit cards as well as electronic funds transfers.
• Collaborate with patients to formulate customized payment plans that reflect their financial circumstances and align with organizational policies.
• Gather necessary information from patients to aid in their enrollment in financial assistance programs.
• Maintain thorough and accurate records of all collection activities, including payment arrangements.
• Consistently work to achieve or surpass defined collection targets while providing exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrate professionalism and warmth in all interactions with patients, fostering a positive experience.

• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish) is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in medical collections is advantageous.
