Jordan Godbey is the Founder and CEO of GrowthCommunity, a thriving business that helps thought leaders build highly engaging online communities. GrowthCommunity offers done-for-you consulting services, as well as the Academy, a done-with-you coaching program that teaches clients how to build and grow their own communities. These services help entrepreneurs create financial freedom and increase engagement through scalable systems.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant who will align with GrowthCommunity's Core Values: Extreme Ownership, Relentless Tempo, Championship Energy, and Slaying Boars. The ideal candidate will serve as a mini-me to Jordan, supporting him across multiple areas of the business and ensuring smooth operations. This person will need to handle a wide variety of tasks independently, allowing Jordan to focus on big-picture strategy while trusting the assistant to manage day-to-day details.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing our CEO's email inbox, organizing and prioritizing messages, responding to common requests and flagging important information for review
  • Calendar Management: organizing, reviewing, scheduling, and rescheduling meetings
  • Booking travel arrangements
  • Pulling data for reports and sending invoices
  • Managing social media inboxes, scheduling posts, and flagging important messages
  • Loading email copy into the email marketing tool, testing, and sending out email campaigns
  • Handling additional tasks such as client communications, note-taking, creating tasks in Asana, assisting with orientation calls, and providing support to other team members as the need arises

In addition to the above, the ideal candidate must be/have:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, providing clear and concise updates on important matters
  • Friendly, warm, easygoing, and welcoming
  • Takes initiative and is continuously thinking about ways to improve processes and systems
  • Loves being an assistant and supporting others
  • Has a high standard of excellence and professionalism and is thorough in their work
  • Mature, disciplined, and self-motivated
  • Comfortable on video calls and confident when engaging with potential clients
  • Able to work autonomously and take ownership of tasks
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with learning and using new software
  • A fast self-learner who can quickly adapt to new tasks and tools
  • Diligent in following up and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently
  • A problem solver who can suggest outcomes or solutions before seeking assistance
  • Spanish-speaking is a plus (but not required)

Experience with the following tools is a plus!

  • Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar)
  • Slack
  • Asana
  • Social media platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter)

Position Details

  • This is a 1099 contractor position
  • Profit sharing is available
  • The position will be 25-30 hours per week and will likely grow to full-time hours within the next year
  • Hours are Monday - Friday, flexible between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm MT
  • You will need to be available to check emails and the calendar in the morning, midday, and at the end of day, and for team meetings on Tuesdays from 9:00 am to 10:30 am MT
  • Pay rate: $25/hour USD
  • You must be able to pass a background check
  • We're looking for someone to become a long-term (3+ years) team member
