Job Overview

Join our esteemed team as a Portfolio Consulting Manager, where you will spearhead a talented group focused on delivering innovative technical and economic consulting solutions to energy asset developers, utilities, and system operators. This position is fully remote and is primarily based in Upstate New York, with generous relocation assistance offered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of consultants ranging from entry-level to seasoned professionals, cultivating an environment of continuous learning and development.
  • Drive business development initiatives by promoting our consulting services and fostering strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Oversee client engagements, create compelling proposals, and expertly manage projects to ensure the delivery of exceptional consulting services.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to elevate customer interactions and drive satisfaction.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively through superior presentation and writing skills in English.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with substantial experience in power systems analysis.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in power systems consulting for utilities, ISOs, transmission organizations, or renewable energy developers.
  • In-depth knowledge of transmission or distribution principles with advanced proficiency in tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD/EMTDC, PowerGEM TARA, or Aspen OneLiner.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for both domestic and international assignments.

Qualifications

  • An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with regional entities such as NYISO, ISO-NE, PJM, or SPP is a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities within a consulting environment.
