Job Overview

We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Portfolio Consulting Manager to lead a talented team in delivering innovative technical and economic consulting solutions to energy asset developers, utilities, and system operators. This fully remote position is based in Upstate New York, with relocation assistance available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a diverse team of consultants, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Drive business development initiatives, advocate for our consulting services, and cultivate robust relationships with both new and existing clients.
Oversee client engagements, develop proposals, and manage projects to ensure the provision of exceptional consulting services.
Collaborate with various business units to enhance customer interactions and service delivery.
Utilize your strong presentation and writing skills in English to articulate complex concepts effectively.

Required Skills

Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, with a commitment to fostering team development.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
Extensive knowledge in power systems analysis, particularly in transmission or distribution principles.
Proficiency in utilizing software tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD/EMTDC, PowerGEM TARA, or Aspen OneLiner.
Strong aptitude for building client relationships and driving business development efforts.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in power systems consulting for utilities, ISOs, transmission organizations, or renewable energy developers is essential.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in Electrical Engineering and experience with NYISO, ISO-NE, PJM, or SPP.
