Job Title: Technical Systems Analyst - Remote | WFH

Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Technical Systems Analyst to join our esteemed IT operations team. This pivotal role is critical in ensuring the continuous and efficient functioning of our computer systems, while upholding high performance standards and delivering responsive support to our users. The ideal candidate will bring a solid IT background, exemplary problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to providing outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the initiation, monitoring, and decommissioning of computer systems utilizing various control consoles.
  • Continuously evaluate system performance to uphold operational excellence and contribute to process enhancements.
  • Exhibit advanced troubleshooting capabilities to promptly resolve issues and reduce business interruptions.
  • Assist in the creation and revision of Operations Procedures and Manuals to accurately reflect updated processes.
  • Comply with Standard Operating Policies and Procedures in system management.
  • Manage backup schedules and ensure the secure rotation of tapes for offsite storage.
  • Deliver first and second-level support for all systems, escalating issues as required.
  • Open and administer trouble tickets following the established support model.
  • Conduct remote access for servers and desktops during troubleshooting procedures.
  • Collaborate with vendors for hardware and software service requests.
  • Ensure timely resolution of trouble tickets in alignment with Service Level Agreements.
  • Oversee and initiate batch processing or work requests as necessary.
  • Guarantee that all system backups occur as scheduled and execute essential tasks to protect organizational data.
  • Conduct Gaming System Audits and handle On and Off Boarding processes.

Required Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting competencies with the ability to assess when escalation to higher support levels is warranted.
  • Familiarity with IBM AS/400, OS/400, UNIX, Intel platforms, and basic knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office, Windows, and fundamental networking principles such as TCP/IP, DNS, cabling, and wireless technologies.
  • Experience with corporate infrastructure packages including Outlook, Citrix MetaFrame, Windows Terminal Services, and Active Directory.
  • Capability to support administrator-level functionalities across various operating systems.
  • Knowledge of hardware associated with end-user devices, including PCs, monitors, keyboards, mice, drivers, firmware, printers, and laptops.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Understanding of VPN and TCP protocols.
  • Familiarity with Incident Management and Response frameworks.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or a minimum of four years of equivalent experience in an IT environment.
  • Proven track record in addressing a diverse range of computer user issues.
